You aren't that out of touch with how you feel. You wrote what you feel in your post, and I just repeated it for you. You just need someone to help you find your feelings, trust them, and guide you in acting on them in my opinion.

Here's what I think you said that you needed in a therapist in your last post.

You want someone who's closer to your age, more experienced, and someone with whom you have more in common. I also sense that you are suspect of Bioenergetics and would like to find a therapy emphasizing emotion, but also a little more mainstream.

You also worry that you might not be able to identify closeness and connection. You don't seem to have anyone in your life now who you feel close to. So, you aren't sure what it is. And, you have lost the feeling that manifests creativity. Creativity: joy of doing something, innate ablitity to perform the act, absorbtion, and intutitive ease in the act due to years of practice toward mastery? I think connection with a person feels much the same, and maybe even contains the same qualities: joy in the relationship, similarity in interest/background, validation, acceptance, understanding, ease. You feel alive in both situations.

You need someone to help you feel sure about feeling what you feel, and then guide you in a way that you can manifest a life around that. You might want to take a look at the Website: www.schematherapy.com
It's more mainstream, and if you live in the greater NYC area you are in luck. There is a bibliography there too. I think that if you want more help leave an email address here.
