I guess I should be flattered that you mistook me for someone with a degree in some sort of psychotherapy. I am not. I am someone who was hurt very badly by it, and I have become very knowledgeable about what works. Therefore, I wasn't trolling for clients, and I certainly wasn't referring to a friend or a colleague. I was simply helping someone who seemed to need help, although I can never be sure of who is real on this forum as a whole. I simply suggested a Website connected to reputable therapy and therapists. I think, if you ask, that your mentor is well aquainted with Dr. Jeffrey Young and schema therapy (cognitive therapy). Would I have received the same response if I had suggested a cognitive therapy Website at the University of PA? Rather than violate rules I thought that it was far more appropriate to invite someone to discuss this elsewhere, for surely he will find somewhere to do it. As for risk on the Internet, it's always there, and I am pretty certain that both of us are able to take care of ourselves.
