Just personal input -- I've had my perception of my body change since beginning ego state work. Sometimes this really stinks. I am more aware of little aches and pains... more connected to what I am physically experiencing at any moment. I have also had problems associated with connecting to my body and emotions, but I think they are very usual therapy related problems. For instance, I sometimes eat or drink too much now. Basically, I never knew how to have emotions at all, now when I have them I try to make them "go away" in other ways. It's not a regular or big problem... but you asked. Lastly, being more connected to a physical sense of self has been really neat, it's been good, it feels nice. Most of the time. I recommend it. :) There are articles accessible on line on ego state therapy. Try putting ego state therapy into google, and they will "pop up". My own therapist has several on her site, Dr. Inobe has one, there are some by Watkins and Watkins (they originated a lot of the ego state stuff). All are accessible on line. All come up on a google search. A warning, most talk about ego state theory in terms of emdr or trauma work (eg dissociation). So don't let that scare you off. :) Best of luck...
