Sandra, I think during my training it was recommended that we not use emdr with clients who were about to go to court in case they were then less able to recall events - tho in my experience they tend to recall MORE after emdr, but the trainer made reference to how the "picture" often changes or can't be recalled after it has been processed - and also in case it were called into question, in the way that memories recalled under hypnosis may or may not be considered to be legitimate memories. I don't know whether or not there is real cause for concern with this, but it is what was mentioned during my emdr training.
