    That is a good point Sandra - I feel the same that it is not so much that the memories that come up during emdr can't be trusted but that they can be construed that way. I work in sexual assault and unfortunately attempts are often made to turn virtually everything against the client in court and so it is difficult to not be wary.

    I have actually had crown attorneys ask me to not discuss details of the abuse (with or without emdr) and various things like that, before a woman went to court, because the defense might try to argue that it was ME who planted ideas, etc... It is pretty ridiculous really.
