    Having been in the same position as you speak of (no issd or sidran therapists around), here is a crazy idea.

    Try the local rape crisis center, if one exists. Many such centers now routinely train all clinicians in EMDR... and naturally, they are aware of trauma and dissociation.

    They are often no or low cost, as well. (Try to get over the idea that cheap means unskilled or inexperienced... you can always specify that you rather not see an intern, etc)

    Good luck... it's frustrating, I know.
