    Without commenting on your specific situation, I'll make some general comments.

    Dissociative barriers are there for a reason, and premature use of BLS (including the Grand tapes) before preparation has been conducted can cause dissociative barriers to dissolve, and the person ends up potentially flooded with affect. Better approach is to follow the steps recommended by the professional community in the field of dissociation, to prepare, contain, stabilize, plan, and do a piece at a time. There is no shortcut to integration.

    How ironic that on this forum, my posts alternate between cautions about using EMDR prematurely, because it is so powerful, and answering posts of people who think EMDR adds nothing.
