Hi Dr. Shapiro! I am 23 years old and ever since I can remember I have been always been nervous when taking a standarized test, speaking in front a room, interviews, etc. I thought it would pass with age, but I think I have issues with self esteem and confidence due to a physical disability that took me a long time to accept. I have been out of college for almost a year, and can't get a job because I choke on my interviews. I am applying to law school, but I choked on my standarized tests, thus lessoning my chances greatly getting in. I am at my witts end. It seems like the more I want something, the more nervous I get and end up choking. My mom is a clinical psychologist, and suggested this treatment. I don't think I have a severe anxiety disorder, but I do think I have unresolved past issues. Could this treatment help alleviate my anxiety and build my confidence?
