    Shamatha v. Vipassana v. TM v. Zen
    V. Genevieve Leak, R.N. · 08/18/02 at 12:38 ET

I have spent hours online taking a meditation in clinical practice course from David Lukoff,Ph.D., plus researching many web sites with info. I have read almost a dozen articles from PubMed and the Journal of Transpersonal Psychology trying to understand the nature of these different meditaton practices. I thought I had them somewhat straight, but now I am confused again. So who knows what is the same and different about these various types of practices and who they best apply to? Not all techniques are the same, nor are meditation students the same.
