Your post is very interesting to me. The idea of a headache emerging in Reiki with resistance to healing is indeed similar to looping in EMDR. Reiki is gentle, so it may not be as surgical as EMDR or risk as much deep access - I'm not sure. However, I'm very aware that there isn't screening for who gets Reiki trained, so not only is there a question of whether people know how to handle resistances but also that there isn't much in the way of just anybody jumping in to cure traumatized individuals. Makes me want to double your caution about who one selects to work with in any modality. When any kind of deep work, it is of course important to work with a trustworthy and compassionate person, and someone who knows what to do if and when work gets stuck. I'm still in favor of training - lots of training.
