Thanks for the prompt response.The Compass of Shame is a fascinating new way to look at ADD (and all the other disorders). I have definitely seen children with ADHD exhibit behaviour along the Attack Self and Attack Other poles. I assume the withdrawal pole is used more often by children ADD without hyperactivity. Are kids who rush frantically from one uncompleted activity to the next using the Avoidance pole? Is it this frantic activity that changes into addiction problems for older sufferers of ADD? Have you studied the different ways people make use of the poles as they age? What about gender issues and pole preference? What are the treatment implications for ADD based on the the Compass of Shame?
