I think we need to know more about the study Bloomindale cited to you concerning intrauterine hyperactivity to conclude that shame plays no role in ADDH. In fact it is doubtful that any single study could decide the question.
When you state that a stimulant can be used to treat ADDH patients without Œany apparent anti-shame activity¹, your use of the word Œapparent¹ seems important to me. It is not out of the question that shame is involved in some way, but not in an obvious way. Nathanson might be able to clarify this.
Your closing question Œwhat's the evidence linking addh to shame beyond mere assertion?¹ is a cogent one.
