Jorge:
I objected to the way many NLP teachers offer hypnosis training to laypeople.
I have no problem in either teaching communication techniques to nonprofessionals or to providing growth experiences. I have no truck, however, with teaching nonprofessionals to use hypnotherapy, or to do psychotherapy for that matter. The practice of therapy is legally and ethically proscribed to professionals for many good reasons, including protecting the public. Many NLP groups seem to have an anything-goes-for-anyone attitude. Doing therapy is not as simple as "installing and anchoring" the "ecological strategy," as some NLPers tout. A broad professional backround is required.
