    Thank you for your response to my question. I agree that there are individual standards for each therapist and understand completely the legal liability.

    I do not think this is a liability issue or a transference isseue ... rather an insensitivity on my therapist's part and/or just her "standard operating proceedure".

    I did speak with her and she and I agreed that I could verbalize when I needed a non-clinical respone ... a hug.

    However, that being said, I still felt that she was uncomfortable and her response did not seem genuine.

    Is it possible that I can continue "dumping my guts" in a clincal environment, devoid of human contact, and make any further process in EMDR?
