Yes it does, and you have said it very well indeed. It was not my point to underestimate the importance of therapist and client trust in EMDR --- it is key. And there are many ways for therapists to resonate with the client so the client feels safe and attended to and heard. Some of those ways involve physical contact and some involve other dimensions.
