    You've got it wrong.

    EMDR is efficacious - on that there is no question, and far more so than placebo. It is as efficacious as exposure therapy for PTSD. The mechanism of action is still in question, but it has not been proven that the eye movements are not part of it. You haven't read the research carefully.

    readers can go to www.emdr.com to read a recent review of the status of the research.

    I'm not going to repeat it all here just because someone presumes to say, "refrain from using EMDR" which is just silly given the strong empirical status of the method.
