    I agree with you 100%! Critical discussion is of utmost importance when looking at and considering any form of intervention or treatment. While I was in Graduate School I always heard the opposing view of nearly every theory that was being presented. This, coupled with a solid Liberal Arts education, sharpened my own critial thinking skills.

    These skills are important for clinicians and clients alike as they allow one to sift through that which is personal, and full of subjectivity, and that which is more objective. It is not an easy task, but it is a necessary skill to develop.

    If we, as clinicians and clients, can't take opposing views and truly consider that which is contrary, then how can we ever hope to make informed and sound choices?

    Critical discussion should always be welcomed and supported. The inability to utilize discussion such as this leaves both the practicioner and client at risk of incompetent treatment decisions.

    Just my humble opinion....
