    Dr. Nathanson, I appreciated your reply and the thoughtful nature of it. You mentioned the use of "uncovering psychotherapy" after achieving good control with Lithium. That sounds like a much more thorough treatment than simple behavioral therapy. Has hypnotism been used to your knowledge in uncovering issues in the lives of Bipolar patients? I have a concern for finding a way to assist patients in unlearning destructive habits learned as coping or self-treatment measures prior to Dx and Rx. Such habits continue to create serious relationship and social problems even when the patient has achieved a reasonable measure of affect control. Please comment and/or correct!
