    Re:re Observer and the Subconscious Mind

    Thanks for your thoughts Steven. I guess my own position is determined by who is observing and from where is the observation taking place. It leads me to ask "who am I" and for the purpose of Meditation etc " where am I". I do have a sense that it's the function of the intellect to observe the thoughts that enter the mind, from either the sub-conscious or from an external stimulus such as eyes, ears, etc. I see the intellect as the gate keeper, the faculty where discrimination is used inorder to make some sense of what is being "seen" on the screen of the mind.
    I have always loved the expression..."I see what you mean"..
    Who is the "I" that says this, and where is the "I" when it's saying this.
    I must confess that I'm drawn towards an interactive trinity of Mind, Intellect and Sub Conscious Mind to help understand consciousness as I see it.
