Thanks also for your thoughts. I too have similar questions to those you've raised. The separating of the mind's
functions only makes discussion possible, via reifying states of consciousness. Is it anything more than artifice? I don't believe so. But, it is also a tempting indulgence when seeking to answer the question of who or what the observer is.
