I have tried out a few programs to manage patient billing. The one I'm most familiar with is Therapist Helper. I think that it is cumbersome and not easy to learn. However, it does seem to do a nice job opnce you master it.

The other I have tried is more than just billing, it contains a whole array of clinical record keeping. The name is Civer-Psych 2.0. I like the layout, and I also like the diagnostic piece it provides (although for most of us it is not neccessary). The problem is that it costs almost twice as much as Therapist Helper.

I would be interested in what experiences others have had with such software. My overall sense is that the learning curve needs to get a little easier before many of us busy and time-limited clinicians will drop the big bucks for these programs.
