The rocket is off the pad! There are books, books, and books appearing on the subject as Evolutionary Psychology continues r-Selection. More will come. For example, John Pearce remarked that the "adaptationist program is in full swing" after the HBES meeting in Tucson last month. Expect to see more journals about EP and psych adaptations, infiltration into existing journals, and a wave of varied assessments. (Also, expect series of papers that take established concepts and reinterpret them with EP labels.) There will probably soon be a Michel Hersen editing "Progress in EP" or an "Annual Review of EP." There are certainly a couple of Handbooks, perhaps generated by some "search & replace" functions, on a wordprocessor at this moment. A descendent of Dawkins and Margulis will discuss the symbiosis of ideas (Memosis?) and their origins (Memosis Tree?) The Jungians are said to be taking fewer SSRIs since discovering EP; a fact validating one of my points that either more serotonin or working in an area of talent will treat low self esteem and alienation.
Enough!
I'm moving comments about texts to a home under this message. Please write and post short reviews of your own favorites in EP or sociobiology. I will always look them up, sometimes buy them (as with Ken Wilber), and even read them (as with "Ismael," thanks again Mark Waugh!) Others of us can do likewise!
