I recall that Erickson has a "white light" (his words) expereince about his 3rd grade (I believe it was) experience when he discovered that the dictionary was arranged in alphabetical order. (I know that seems a little funny). So, that description might sound like it was a "spiritual" experience according to some but not Dr. Erickson.
