You will find that using this forum is pretty straightforward. To read interesting things posted on the forum, simply click on the title. To reply to a post, scroll down to the bottom of that page and click on the "Reply" button. To post something which is not a reply to one of the other posts, simply scroll to the bottom of the main page and click on "Post". You will get a form for entering a title for your post, your name, and the text of your post. After you have done this, choose a formatting option and click on "Post this message."
If you do not find the necessary buttons at the bottom of the page, you may not have scrolled all the way to the bottom, or the page may not yet have loaded completely.
What if I am a non-professional who wants to learn about anxiety?
If you are a non-professional who has questions about anxiety disorders, this is not the place to post them. This forum is specifically designed as a place for mental health professionals (and graduate students in mental health) to discuss professional issues related to anxiety disorders. There are many other excellent Web sites available for non-professionals who have questions about anxiety. Please go to the post entitled For Non-Professionals Seeking Information about Anxiety.
Is it OK for me to ask questions and respond to posts?
Yes, all mental health professionals (and grad students) are invited to join in.
Do I have to be an expert to post?
No, as you read through the forum, you will find posts from mental health practitioners who treat anxiety but who are not experts, posts from mental health professionals who have had little exposure to anxiety disorders, and of course posts from experts. All mental health professionals are welcome.
