I had noted and fully agreed with your squeamishness about non-professionals offering hypnosis. In my case, I do have 125 hours of training in hypnosis/hypnotherapy (through ASCH and the Wellness Institute) and am certified as a clinical hypnotherapist. I also am a masters-level clinician who has practiced a year, using hypnotherapy as appropriate with very good results. It's just jumping through Florida's licensing hoops that's got me in this twilight place. My ultimate goal is clinical social work licensure, but that's a few years off. I just didn't want my skills to atrophy while I'm working toward that goal.
