    Without commenting on the particulars of your phobia,
    hyperventilating or chair spinning (really!) is a good way to simulate panic feelings in the session for many clients. It doesn't work for everyone.

    Another strategy, quite different that works for some people but not all, is "floating back" to the first time one felt that one would (die/go crazy/be abandoned/make a fool of oneself) or whatever one is worried about. And process that.
