Hi again. I've been reading a lot about EMDR over the past week, and think I want to give it a try. From what I've read, it seems that you start off with a specific memory and form negative and positive statements based on that memory. For example, if you are raped, your statements might be "I have no power" and "I did the best I could." My problem is that I remember little of my childhood. I was able to come up with two pages of negative beliefs about myself, but don't link specific memories to them. Can EMDR be done with just the statements and feelings without the specific memories? Diane
