Be careful about digging up memories which you believe you have but can't find. Memories and beliefs are easily created and your negative thoughts are not necessarily related to "repressed memories". EVERYONE has negative thoughts from time to time and if you think you will escape them forever I don't believe this is possible. Some people have a poor memory of their past becuase they just have a poor memory or because of family disruption e.g. moving etc.
Why not just work on introducing some positives into your life?
