I can see once again why we are careful to not comment on specific cases here; its so easy to misunderstand and be misunderstood in this environment. I think the responder might have been responding in general ways that may not apply in your specific case. I'll make a couple general comments too, that may not apply in your case, and remembering we don't have enough info here to comment on specific cases: It is not unusual, especially after incomplete EMDRs, to have insights and painful experiences and unsettling experiences occur after EMDR sessions. I usually try to close and contain the unfinished material so that it can wait until the next session. So the client doesn't feel at sea. One good thing tho, even when revelations are life changing and person changing, the novelty and discomfort that goes with that novelty is often temporary, changing with the passive of a little time.
