    EMDR versus DBT
    TheLadyDragonfly · 09/13/02 at 4:35 PM ET

I can't seem to find as much about DBT as about EMDR.

I have depression on AXIS 1 and personality disorder NOS on AXIS II.

Borderline personality has NEVER been discussed as a problem, but now some six different therapists and years of talk therapy later, I have a group of health care professions and a therapist or two, who feel that treatment for trauma is appropriate.

I think EMDR fits best with long term, systematic, ritual abuse and DBT strikes me as more talk therapy and I don't care to do anymore of that. My current therapist is court ordered and she is destroying what little self-esteem and feelings of self-worth I have left. She is proposing that she conduct the DBT and she is not trained to do so, at this point.

IF you are professional with experience, I welcome your thoughts.
