I'm not sure I am understanding your use of "robust" but I will assume unless corrected that you mean it is lengthy and detailed. I "interviewed" three emdr therapists recently. One, the one in question, also referred to Shapiro as "Francine" which, at least, in YOUR case, I can assume is not an affectation. In her case... Anyway, my point and my concern is that it is SO difficult to know what to look for in an emdr practitioner. I know this is supposed to be a forum for professionals and I so appreciate your continued responses to all of us clients... it is so nice to have somewhere to go and be told "uh, no, that can't be right". All the therapists I spoke to had level II training and had years in practice. And I got different answers from each one. It's almost scarey. Are there any questions YOU would recommend to someone looking for emdr besides the usual, what level of training & certification do they have? Thanks, again.
