Deep rooted memories-what should happen

Hi,

I have started EMDr with my therapist. I have had two sessions. I am thiry one and am a victim of sex abuse. This started before I remember and lasted for almost 15 years. (until I was 19-20) I don't remember how it started, nor is there anyone ot ask this question.

I keep expecting the floodgates to open and all the questions to be answered. I know this will not happen, but how do the memories come back for others? Will I even be able to pull memories out of my head from when I was 5???
