    Interacting Cognitive Subsystems
    jed · 08/19/01 at 7:32 ET

I have been reading through a chapter on cognitive therapy by Blackburn, I.M. (in Comprehensive Clinical Psychology), and came across a description of interacting cognitive subsystems (ICS). This was the first time i have encountered the theory - no books, articles, nor lecturers have mentioned it until now. Thus, I'm wondering what sort of impact it actually has had (as an alternative to Beck's theory) on the practice of CT? Also, what is it's current status as a theory and practical approach in the world of CT/CBT?
    Thanks
