    Would anyone care to play? What did Tomkins once describe as "...perhaps the deepest sickness of the human spirit?" It might be fun if some would guess at this--using Tonkins's theory of course. If you can't wait or don't want to play, you can find the answer on the top of page 204 in the section on Anger Attenuation in Decontamination Scripts in AIC, III. When I read any author, I like to pay special attention to extreme statements like this one of Tomkins, for usually any keen observer of the human condition who makes an extreme statement is almost always on to something very important that I believe I would usually be wise to at least pay close attention to. If, after a while, nobody plays with me, I'll post the answer.
