Paul Bukovec, MSW, of Philadelphia was for a number of years the director of Project RAP. At Family Services of Philadelphia, they specialized in the group treatment of men with histories of perpetrating domestic violence, many of whom were court referred. Paul gave a presentation on the role of shame in the cycle of violence, and the place of affect identification training in the therapeutic process. I don't know if he ever published on it, but he can probably be reached by phone in Phila. (office on Germantown Ave., I think.) Good luck
