Dr.Nathanson, Thank you for responding to my questions. I have just attended a conference day on the effect of trauma in the development of the child and adolescents. A very interesting presentation by Dr. Bruce D Perry on the neurodevelopmental consequences of childhood trauma with data on the brain not responding in the same waywhen a child is faced with trauma ,abuse or neglect which may even modify the brain`s normal development. A special attention was given to the affective response needed by the developping child in order for his brain to develop the cortical areas and subcortical area related to emotionnal appraisal and response...I thought of your work!
