Re: EMDR therapy in companion animals

I find this possibility quite interesting. I am a student counselor, and am interested in learning more about animal psychology, or counseling, as it were, in terms of helping resolve maladaptive behavior. As a pet lover, it bothers me to know that alot of pets are abandoned when owners can't deal with a certain behavior. Along with EMDR, I was wondering if you were familiar with any other therapies used on pets, or of anyone who does therapy with pets.
