PSYCHOLOGY OF CYBERSPACE

    re: anonymity can increase openness

This "disinhibiting" effect of cyberspace anonymity indeed is interesting. And it makes me wonder... once computer-mediated-communication (CMC) gets closer and closer to face-to-face interaction via audio and video streaming technology, will people want to give up text-only communication? Maybe it will be something like video-telephones, which are well within the realm of current technology, but no one seems to want it.
