Re:It's back to the WALL then, with intention !!

Earlier this year I was in Mombai, India. My friend's mother took me to the Raja Yoga Centre where I talked to one of the 'sisters.' We had a very interesting discussion. She had her Masters in Psychotherapy & had worked for some years in the profession. She had discovered that teaching her clients meditation techniques was the most effective form of therapy & very well accepted in her culture. She had become a 'sister' at the Raja Yoga centre because she found that it was a very satisfying job & she believed that Yoga & especially Raja Yoga Meditation was the best psychotherapy.

TM people charge a fee for giving their students a personal mantra & provide a suitable environment so that new people can establish themselves in repeating the mantra. If you have a chosen mantra already & some beads you can do the same yourself. However, if you need encouragement & lack discipline it is an excellent idea to do the course. Going away on a retreat also gets you way from your PC, phone, work, family & friends for a while so that you can concentrate without interuptions.
