Todd: I think you’re a reasonably bright guy, and read a hell of a lot, but I suspect that your “intensions” are somewhat contradictory: On the one hand, it seems your spiritual roots/background influences your thinking/reasoning; but then on the other, your Darwinian atheism/materialism, and your conviction that that science, requires a materialistic/atheistic view of the world, influences your thinking/reasoning. And so you’ve invented a Darwinian atheism/materialism wherein you also “believe” in a “human agency”…as opposed to what—insect agency, lizard agency, wolf agency? And a universe where entropy can decrease. And, admittedly, I thoroughly enjoy pointing out your lame reasoning. As I see it, there’s really one core issue you and I need address: Does science require or mandate a materialistic/atheistic view of the world? Or better yet, does science even support a materialistic/atheistic view of the world? Or even better, does science actually support the view that the universe has a purpose, that it's not there just somehow by chance? And you already know the conclusions reached by Roger and me.
