Mother, with a question

My 15 year old son has Social Anxiety. He couldent talk to me about it, so he wrote a letter. Now that I know what he has, I dont know where to go about it. Would going to a Psychiatric place help out the most, or going to a Psychologists? I know that psychologists can't perscribe medication but they can counsil him. I also know that Psychiatrics can perscribe medication, but can they counsil him also???? thank you for the information, Cindy
