Hello everyone. I am interested in your thoughts on the connections perceived and/or real between the above disorders.
How someone learns best (Aurally, visually, or physically) I believe can be related to how their disposition is constructed.
My son has had nocturnal and daytime enuresis and he is 10.5 yrs presently. His teachers have continuously said he is a daydreamer (he had spent 15 minutes in the bathroom during class in second grade singing to himself before the teacher knocked on the door!). His teacher used to say he appeared to be "elsewhere" but when called on would aswer as if he were paying close attention. Now in 5th grade he isn't so quick to know where the class is when "caught"!
He hasn't had a dry night yet, and is on DDAVP. DOc used to say try Tofranil next. Any luck?
Better yet we think he is very bright but has a self-esteem problem.
Any connections between the descriptions and suggestions for treatment? He refuses the "buzzer" to remind him to go to the bathroom.
Regards and thanks, David
