The V.A. Readjustment Counseling Service (free-standing mental health centers known as Vet Centers)cannot "count" client contacts for two therapists in the same group. Both therapists can record the time they spent in group but only one of them can record the number of client contacts. Confused yet? This, despite the fact that both are "present" to the dynamics of the group and both may interact with the clients. At the V.A. Hospital, it is completely different. Two therapists in a group record the number of clients seen and the time they spent in group. Who's right?? It seems that the readjustment counseling therapists are not reflecting the expense of their salary correctly. It is about money, but I do think group size dictates the number of therapists when you get more the 8-10 clients. Let me hear your thoughts. Thanks.
