I have conducted several groups for children and teens, I have had some excellent results with ADHD children. I have found that it would be better to have yoor groups smaller and more defined than to have a large group with more therapist. I had a ADHD group for kids under 6, then boys 6-12 and girls 6-12. Once we combined the boy and girl group and learned that was not as effective. The cohesiveness of the group is important. The connection of the leader wiht the group is also important. If the leader is a therapist that has or is seeing the members individually it makes for a very cohesive setting. So if you have more therapist divide up the groups and narrow down group members by age, gender and diagnosis Judy hayjude@sofnet.com
