With regards to Bipolar disporder and EMDR, obviously Bipolar Disorder must be primarily treated with medication until one is stabilized and a reasonable "mood range" reached. Could then EMDR, possibly combined with hypnotherapy, be used to re-established a person's self-esteem, sense of self, sense of worthwhileness, etc...? Many of these these feelings, along with enormous amounts of guilt are generated during pre-diagnosed bipolar phase. Is there a hope for EMDR to help these issues?
