Laura, I think I understand from the above that you have completed Level I training? If not, then this is the first step. Once Level I has been completed, then you would begin work employing EMDR with easier cases (that is cases for which Level I training was sufficient). I would suggest that you find an experienced EMDR practicioner (you could find them via the EMDR Institute or EMDRIA websites) who could act as a consultant/supervisor. My suggestion would be that you do not attend Level II until you have completed at least 30 - 50 EMDR sessions where you are the therapist.
