    Thank you, I did a search and looked at what I could find. I can see how those beliefs can limit performance, but they also seem to me the same as the negative cognitions that relate to a memory or issue. How is a blocking belief different from a negative cognition? EMDR works to change the negative cognition to a positive one in processing the memory or issue. When I try to put a finger on what might be the blocking belief that relates to the memory I'm working on, it seems like another aspect of the issue, so how would I change it other than by trying to process the memory? But on the other hand I seem to be stuck in that the SUDS goes down and up to where I started again.
