Re:EMDR and Unilateral Neglect Following a Stroke

Thank you so much for responding to my question. I am in the process of preparing a research paper on this subject for my masters thesis. I am a student at Capital University of Integrative Medicine in Washington, DC and information on the work of Dr. Shapiro was part of our instruction. This sparked my interest in the relationship between unilateral neglect and EMDR. Your discussion with Paul Sahba (agenesis of the corpus collosum)is related to the topic that I have chosen. Although patients who have suffered from a stroke do not have agenesis, they do have disruption of the signals crossing the midline.
I would like to continue to pursue this topic. I have used a modified version of EMDR with three patients with excellent results.
