Hi, The book covers the wide range of dissociative experience. My therapist actually borrowed and read it at one point. It's written for lay people so it's pretty nonclinical. You may find it very validating -- the "I'm not alone" factor. I have the same problem with psyching myself up to go back and do emdr... I think I've isolated the belief that comes into play "I have to be in control". I think that any expression or experience of emotion will lead to pain and chaos. I'm going to talk to my therapist about this tomorrow. Wishing you the best...
