I have noticed this a little bit at times. Did the SUDs (level of distress) process down to a zero? I think sometimes if it is not quite finished, that number has a way of creeping back up sometimes (though it can also go down, as the processing does continue after the session). I have usually noticed this in response to some crisis or disturbing event that occurred afterwards, and it felt as if the emdr session "unravelled" slightly, though I have always felt I was still further ahead than before the session. It may also be that you noticed good effect, but that some other issues got touched on, and that those issues are now needing to be targetted. Maybe others will also have input/ideas that might be helpful. I wouldn't be discouraged - even when I have felt the odd time like stuff has unravelled slightly, it didn't seem to take that much to fix it, w/ the next emdr session and I have absolutely noticed an obvious, dramatic forward progress over time.
